Ranch Consulting Enabling Sustainable Ranch Success
Jaclyn Wilson returned home to western Nebraska in 2002 to become the fifth generation to own/operate Wilson Ranch, a commercial cow/calf operation in the Nebraska Sandhills. Understanding that you “need to wait your turn” in a family operation, in 2012 she started Flying Diamond Genetics a recip program that integrates into the ranch.
With her parents (The Boss Man and the Boss Man’s Wife) ‘sometimes’ blessing, she is actively involved in numerous agriculture organizations including leadership positions with the Nebraska Cattlemen, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Nebraska Brand Committee, and the Nebraska Agriculture Leadership Council. She also has served on both U.S. Senators, her U.S. Congressman, and the Governor’s Ag. Committees. She was recently named to the 2015 Vance Publishing”s “40 Under 40 in Agriculture” class.
In her ‘spare’ time she writes biweekly for Midwest Producer about the ‘joys’ of working with family, and does custom metal work.
